LARA FLAG FOOTBALL - FOR BOYS AND GIRLS GRADES 1-6

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.  TEAMS ARE BEING FORMED.

Teams consist of 10 or less kids depending on the number of registrations. Flag football is a five-on-five football game. The offensive team plays for a first down at midfield and a touchdown in the end zone. Running and passing plays are allowed, although there are “no-running zones” at midfield and near each goal line. The defensive team covers receivers, rushes the passer, and grabs flags to make “tackles.”

LARA flag football is a great opportunity for kids to enjoy the game of football without the physical contact.  Players must provide own mouthguard.  Molded cleats are highly recommended.

There are two Brackets - 

•  Bracket A (1st - 2nd Grades as of School Year 2011/2012)
• Bracket B  (3rd - 6th Grades as of School Year 2011/2012)

Games are on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. at KiChiSaga Park running from September 10, 2011 through October 15, 2011.
 

REGISTRATION FEE IS $35.00 FOR BRACKET B OR $25.00 FOR BRACKET A.  ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED A REVERSIBLE JERSEY.  IF YOU HAVE ONE FROM LAST YEAR, YOU CAN USE THAT JERSEY.  IF NOT, DURING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS, YOUCAN PURCHASE A JERSEY FOR $20.00.
