LARA

The Lakes Area Recreation Association (LARA) provides the opportunity for school-age Chisago Lakes-Area children to experience affordable, supervised sports activities. LARA is a volunteer, nonprofit organization and is not formally affiliated with the Chisago Lakes School District, but cooperates with and encourages participation by the District. More than 1,800 lakes-area youth participate in LARA sports every year.

All LARA coaches are volunteers. LARA provides administrative support, including game scheduling. Coaches are always needed and appreciated. Sports knowledge is not a prerequisite; LARA will provide the necessary training. All we ask is that our volunteer coaches enjoy sharing time with young people and teach the principles of fair play and honorable competition.  Please complete the coaching application form and send it to LARA.
